Clarity of purpose

When you mention Mandela - you think freedom, mention Martin Luther - you think Equality. Its almost as if someone can figure out your next words after you invoke such names.

The more clear your purpose is, the more easy it is for the people around you or people who work with you to know first hand where you are and where you want to wind up. It is this clarity that speaks more to them. Clarity of purpose is more than words, its the whole psychology around you that speaks louder about your mission and your vision. Louder than your rhetoric's. It is so loud that you don't need to bring it up. When someone mentions your name, its the first thing that crops up.

Radiating purpose can not be build within a day. Radiating purpose is infectious. Such purpose is cultivated not only by working on the subject mater but through working on all the factors that define you.

On an ordinary 1st December of 1955 in Montgomery - Alabama, an African American lady refused bluntly to give up her seat as ordered by the bus driver. Now I say 'ordinary day' because then, that was the status quo. This one event had a ripple effect that richocheyd throughout history and redefined not just her life, neither the lives of a specific community, neither the lives of a nation, but reverberated across the world. This one action was part of the plot among others that led to a constitution being changed.

Now, please note that Rosa Parks action in the moment had this effect not because she was a woman, neither because of the mood of the country but this all lay with one part of her - her personality - her purpose. Note, this was not the first time that Rosa had clashed with the driver, neither was she the first African American woman to not give in her seat. Her determination for a just system was in her core DNA. It surrounded her every where she went. Imagine if she was arrested and on going to the police station, the cops identified her as the local drunk or any other vice. Imagine if she had issues due to negative traits with her neighbors, who would have come out in support? Yes she would have resisted the bus driver, but would it have gone down history as it did? Simply no. Her one action depended on all her other aspects of life. She had to have lived in total harmony and leave no room to stain her purpose.

Your Purpose is connected to every aspect of your life. Its connected to every word that comes out of your mouth.

Your greatest witness is your back - how people see you when you don't see them. Its defined when your not trying to define it. Your greatest task therefore is on you. Work hard on you and create that distinctive and persuasive character around you. An aura that smells like sweet incense burning, surrounding every part of you, defining you. When people can see this, then they can follow you with the least need for instructions and without much hesitation.

Who you BE...

Many people have a vision of where they are going, but they don't have a vision for who they are becoming,

The focus has always been outward but note: do not forget to focus inward.

First you need to know where you want to be - vision, then as you work to get where you are going, you must not forget to work on who you are becoming.

Who you become is more important than what you do, because it is who you are who will do what you do, and if you never become the person that can do what you want to do, you may never do what you want to do and hence never get where you want to get - your vision

The seed and the tree

So my good friends, what’s the difference between a seed and a tree? Wow, ain’t this one of the simplest questions? Easy.. No. Maybe biologically, chemically or in such and such a way, there is no difference. But let’s get out of that dimension of Biology and get into the analogy world. What’s the difference? Well here in this zone the differences are vast, in fact contradictory.

One cool day in the deep of the forest, God in His supreme design removed from his pouch a seed. He showed the seed around to his angels and told them “behold, this is how all this began”. Then he turned to the seed and told it, "look around little one, that’s how you will be in times to come. Majestic, mighty, blossoming and provide life the world around you. You will be the mighty oak that maps will be based on as they tell direction." And with that, the purpose/ function and mission of the tree is breathed into it. pooof!

The only way we can tell how mighty the seed will be is not by looking at the seed, but knowing its original intention. Whether we have seen an OAK or not will not prevent or stop it from being an OAK, if it was programmed to be one, then there is no stopping it. Its beneath the skin, deep inside it. Giant slayers are born by men not giants.

Then the angels asked God; "So master, where shall you place this seed. Where to reflect it’s soon to be might. Where shall it stand on that the world may see and behold of the coming giant?" then behold God is His supreme design plays a surprising number on them;

"I will place it underground. Away from the light, away from the stares, away from the glamour, away from the sun, deep in the belly of the earth, in the dirt and life will go on as normal on top of it." So the poor seed is cast away from its 'glory to be' and is flung into the earth, where it’s swallowed whole and in size. With no sign on top with no mark to say “this space right here, the giant lies”.

But why?

God in His Supreme design saw that the poor seed needed to be blinded from the glamour to be. In order to be the big OAK, it needed to first of all grow in places that were more important. Not the mighty bark we see, but the unseen roots. Not the beautiful green tender leaves that fall in season, but the dirty under belly that holds the mighty OAK fast on its ground and never weathered out. But first, the most important growth was to happen hidden from the forest around it. It needed to feed itself in the silence of the dirt. Without the pressure of the peers and the stares of the birds. the only way the seed could configure to its purpose was in the silence.

Once we have a hold of our purpose, once we mature our original intention, there is no stopping us. We are hence driven not by Dreams but by Purpose. Dreams shift, purposes are static. Dreams are based on our surrounding; Purpose is based on our original Intention. Dreams are important to color a part of a purpose, but they are always overtaken by another dream as we charge forth to your purpose. Martin Luther had a dream; that was build on his purpose. His dream was in making long before he had it, in the seed bed, in the corridors of his youth, in the quiet times as we discovered himself. There was all his dreams born.

The reason we don’t achieve our purpose and pursue our dreams is because we don’t want to start like the seed. We want to start from the top up. The seed has to give up to learn and know its original configuration by blinding to the world. Once it takes root, the rest is auto pilot.

Plant your seed on top of the ground, admiring other trees and when the winds of time, the waters of the season or the birds of prey come, you get plucked away and forgotten.
It is the ability to die of the pressures of the world and subject to knowing your purpose that will build the mighty tree. Some take 2 years underground, others 10, others less, but that’s the rhythm of life and the pattern.

Your purpose is in your DNA. Your ability to block all the noise around you and in the moment, do continually what you are supposed to be doing in your circumstances are what will enable you to find your purpose. Your purpose is not driven by glory or might, but by what gives you life. the rest will follow.
Celebrate now that you the seed are underground, cultivate around yourself all the nutrients that you need and know little seed that how long you stand upright as a mighty tree is dependent on how well you form as a little seed in the ground.

Studio - your artist touch

You live Life in a studio, in this studio you draw events and create history. The tools in your hands are composed of materials riding on two dimensions: Yesterday and today.

Today is always a reaction of yesterday and a drawing plan for tomorrow. Everything happening today was designed and drawn yesterday, majority of the designs were by you but in some instances they are by the environment or the people around you. In today's drawing table, the drawing canvas is made up of materials that are based on yesterdays actions, the paint brush is your state of mind and the ink is yesterdays actions.

The best bright colors are yesterdays toughest lessons, the dull colors are yesterdays success and when you paint using them today, tomorrow they becomes duller and duller. Hence the need for new paint. Celebrate each day when you wake and find bright colors, because it means that you have a chance to paint a master piece for tomorrow. You can get bright colors in two ways, in bad decisions that you made (bad misled choices), or in an adventurous en-devour that has given a specific output - meaning its a controlled lesson. Choose to have more of the later.

If every day your table is full of nothing but yesterdays success, remember your painting will continue becoming duller. Adventure, risk, jump today - tomorrow has two outcomes - you will either have success dull color "meaning its time to move to the next stage" or lessons "meaning you have bright colors to paint beautiful pictures for the next day".

Also, don't forget, the most important part of all this - is the paint brush, the state of mind. work on that daily, before you use it, clean it, have it always renewed and refreshed. Clean if off yesterdays paint and let it always be clean, fresh and ready to tackle today's ink.

Be the artist, chart and paint your future...

Men - strength vs power..

Strength - fully applied force, energy, purposed to achieve something
Power - Strength under control - tamed

We should not live life through strength but through power

Power is strength with a purpose, directed strength, mastered strength that can be withheld or used. The Concord jet with all its might and amazing speed had to be discontinued because man could not master it. The best car is not the fastest, but the one that has the best control.

Any item that doesn't use its strength on intended job is broken; unguided strength.

Power is conformity to rules - following set boundaries, some that the power holder accepts and others that they don not accept but nevertheless follows.

Power is gentle and released in regulated ways and is only released to achieve a specific pre-determined plan. Any plan achieved otherwise shows a level of lack of mastery of the power.

Two leaders have strength, one uses his strength without control, observance to his elected purpose or general human laws/ rules :"DICTATOR", other bottles up his strength and allows diplomacy, restrain and mediation :"POWERFUL LEADER".

Unguided power destroys not only the area it exerts its power (environment) but also the vessel itself.

Men - how do we fair. We are through nature given much strength physically, but how do we wield it. We owe the world 'controlled' strength. We owe our children 'gentle' power, we owe our women meekness. Humbleness is more a virtue than strength. Its a Jet fighter that can come to a tamed speed to enable it to fly alongside a "slower" passenger jet and guide it to a safe landing. Its a samurai sword in the hands of the master swords man.

Jesus was the strongest man ever but he was meek

Others are: Martin Luther, Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa - wielded so much power, power that our current day leaders can only dream of but were some of the meekest people to watch, study and listen to.

meek - tamed, modest, self controlled: note, bottled strength.

Tamed...

tomorrows success lies here with us - today

--

Time is like a piece of clay, give the clay to a child - they dirtify themselves, give a grownup clay - they throw it away and wash their hands(yaaach! dirrrty!), give the clay to a master - they make life long pottery that amazes everyone and has functionality many decades later. So, life will never give u the beautiful pot, it will only give you clay! therefore, live everyday to master your skills that you may make all the clay around you into all the things that you desire.

Therefore, the most important thing in life is - in the moment,
1. Check yourself. make an inventory of all the plus and minus about"you".
2. Purpose to be strict and cross out what about you that - does not work (in the current) and can not work (in the future). Here please not that this are the characters in you that are sort of like vices.
3. Now after vices have been ticked off, check whats in you that you enjoy doing. Please note: i have not talked about "check and change your environment", this is because most of the times we can not change our environment. You may be stuck in a bad country, bad neighbourhood and or job that really u can not come out. Now be patient with me and we will try and explore that as well.

I am strictly talking about, what in you that you love doing. Create a scale for yourself to measure. In the midst of all your circumstances, what can you say ticks you or, that small thing that people alway pat you on the back for. Purpose each day to improve and master those thing. Research on it and purpose to master it. As useless as it may seem to the world. In life i believe that we have a couple of things that we dont mind doing, list them and work on them. Apart from putting food on your table (maybe from that job that you don't enjoy but cant quite), create time to do those things bit by bit. Every day something small.

This may be, you love cheering people, singing, cleaning, building up old cars, collecting stamps, volunteering at the homeless shelter, public speaking... all those small things that put a smile in your face, albeit a small smile, do them. bit by bit. Do not at first fight your environment. Fight you. Dont fight your boss, fight you. The biggest battle field is with your self. Do not blame your drunkard abusive father and how he brought you - remember, 'clay'.

Now check this out, if you try to define tomorrow with today's circumstances, nothing will make sense and you will end up frustrated when you don't achieve them. instead, whatever you do today - set it free to evaporate like the mornings dew into the large open endless sky's of tomorrow. Bit by bit the clouds will form, idea by idea, action by action, and when it does get heavy enough, the rain will fall. Is it not interesting that its the rivers that evaporate to cause the rain to fall to sustain the same rivers? the forests in the massive forest lands that give away small droplets that bit by bit buld into masive crouds that rain on the trees and give them life.

Dont worry about tomorrow, be you and be the best you, and know that tomorrows rain is awaiting todays sweat. To build up and form the clouds that will rain on your garden. So dont blame today, create the rains tomorrow.

Do not waste time looking forward though things because most of the times when you look backwards, its the things that didn't make sense in the past that are the corner stone of today. Instead, forcus much of your energy in making you good today, work on you and everything that about you, do the right things at the right time and tomorrow will take shape in today's clay
